Christmas Cards

I created our Christmas Cards for personal use when Christmas cards were not only welcome but expected.

My husband’s business position required that each person in his employ receive a small gift of appreciation accompanied by a personal card. There were dozens in his employ and we enjoyed choosing gifts and finding just the right personal greeting. It remained impersonal to me, however, because we chose one beautiful card and sent the same one to everyone.

I like personal to be personal so any time that I could find time I made the cards for our family and friends. I miss the stacks of Christmas cards that came in the mail at Christmas Time and the many wishes for health and happiness in the New Year.

Like the song says, “You don’t know what you’ve got ‘till it’s gone.”
